Stephen Bittinger is an attorney with Nexsen Pruet's Health Care Practice Group. Stephen has represented physicians across multiple disciplines, home health agencies, nursing facilities, medical groups, medical facilities and medical consultants in Medicare appeals, Medicaid appeals, RAC audits, ZPIC audits, federal regulatory termination and exclusion proceedings, False Claims Act defense and prosecution, and healthcare litigation.
He has assisted numerous physician groups, medical corporations, and medical product manufacturers with strategic growth plans, successions, and transactions by assessing the reimbursement health of medical entities. Stephen’s health care team has developed unique strategies for responding to defense of RAC, ZPIC, UPIC and major payor audits and appeals that have led to collaborative work with government regulators, health care associates and health care law firms across the country.
